Chu Tao is 'the way in which being a monarch', i.e. the art of ruling. Just about every university of philosophy has its tao, its doctrine of how during which lifetime must be ordered. Last but not least in a selected college of philosophy whose followers arrived for being known as Taoists, tao meant 'the best way the universe is effective'; and in
